One day things really do change
11:58, and my homegirl just left my apartment.
It reminded me that a chat with my girls is really all I need.
Sometimes it’s easy to forget the depth at which all of us are chasing something. So seeing things come into fruition, even in the smallest ways, feels powerful.
Our conversation reminded me that sometimes it only takes one moment, one phone call, one chat, one good vibe, and suddenly you’re over it. Or at least you’re reminded that you’ll be okay.
I love that.
I think we spend so much time waiting for the moment, but lately I’ve been realizing it’s already happening. In the little ways people speak to me. In the quiet ways my friends motivate me. In the subtle growth. The small bits of exposure. It’s in everything.
I don’t really have much more to say other than this: chasing your dreams is such a strange thing. Because when the switch finally happens, maybe you’ll notice it and maybe you won’t.
Maybe you’ll just feel ready.
or you’ll realize you’ve been participating in changing your own life this whole time. And when the blessing finally arrives, it won’t feel random. It’ll feel earned. You’ll smile, not because everything suddenly changed, but because you’ll recognize that, little by little, you made that change happen off pure faith.
